If their eradication is not the goal, then when will Iraq give Assyrian Christians and Yazidis their own self-governing federated states, as stipulated in Article 119 of the Iraqi constitution? The existence of such states is in keeping with the accepted ideal of a federal Iraq, and NEC-SC believes it is high time for the Iraqi government to follow its own constitution and see to their immediate formation.”
