The resistance movement in Mosul has confirmed the killing of at least 25 ISIS fighters in the city’s east district. Resistance operations against ISIS in Mosul are expected to continue.

The resistance in Mosul uses the letter Arabic letter Mem, “moqawama,” meaning resistance, in defiance to the Arabic letter  ? (the Arabic letter for “N”).  In Mosul, IS militants marked with a spray-painted ? all Christian property seized after the ultimatum to leave or die.

“N”, or ?, is the first letter of the Arabic word for Christian, “Nasrani” or Nazarene.  As the CF is now striking targets in Mosul the Mosul resistance has now intensified its strikes against ISIS targets within Mosul.
