Unfortunately for the Assyrians who are fighting against ISIS forces in Nineveh Plains the incursion by the Turkish forces may limit or stop U.S./Coalition Forces Airstrikes in the Kurdish region given CF will try to avoid killing any Turkisk forces in their operations against the Kurds.

This action will remove the air cover for the Christian Assyrians and Kurdish forces along the Forward Line of Troops (FLOT) in Nineveh Plains which will possibly embolden ISIS to attack the Kurdish forces who are going to be attack by both Turkey and ISIS. These actions are a direct result of the Kurdish leadership understanding that global economies and powers out weight the corrupt needs of a tribal group which still refuses to understand their place in todays Iraq and Syria and not a “greater Kurdistan”.

On 21 APR 15 I participated in a round table interview on Chuck-Morse-Speaks. Mr. Morse other guest was Mr. Matthew VanDyke from Sons of Liberty International. We were asked questions from the Assyrian’s military and protection forces and their future, and KRG influence in the region and on those forces.

Todays areticle states: “A roadside bomb killed 12 policemen in eastern Turkey after Turkish jets carried out airstrikes against Kurdish rebels and their camps in northern Iraq, state media reports said Tuesday.
Kurdish rebels were suspected of detonating a bomb in the eastern province of Igdir as a police vehicle escorting a group of customs officials to a border gate was passing by, the Anadolu Agency reported. Several other officers were injured in the attack in the province which borders Armenia, the agency said.”
“The customs officials were going to a border crossing between Turkey and the Azerbaijani enclave of Nakhchivan, following the kidnapping of a group of customs officials by the Kurdish rebels. The officials were released unharmed on Tuesday.”
“The attack on the policemen comes amid a sharp escalation of violence between Turkey’s security forces and the Kurdistan Workers’ Party, or PKK.”
“Sixteen soldiers were killed in a similar attack by the PKK on Sunday – the deadliest assault on the Turkish security forces since the renewed fighting erupted in July, derailing a peace process with the Kurds.”
