Yemen conflict: No end in sight, six months on

On 5 AUG 15 NEC-SE posted the article: Sunni’s states of Turkey, Saudi, UAE, IS, and the PKK are at war with each other as Shia Iran is touring the European capitals

In the article we stated:  NEC-SE asks our readers to look at the landscape and the open source reporting and do the link analysis which shows that currently the Sunni States are at war with the Islamic State and are bombing other Sunni’s in the fight (PKK Kurds). What do you think ISIS will do now in Yemen given Saudi Arabia and UAE are supporting a fight against it in Syria. Now that both these states have introduced ground forces they have no option but to have to win this war.

On 9 AUG 15 NEC-SE posted the article: World Communities Ultimate Goal for Saudi Arabia.

In the article we stated:  Taking into account the time needed for regional players to evaluate and act upon the Iranian nuclear deal, the NEC-SE has moved the date of the possible Saudi breakup back from September to December 2015.

If that turns out to be the case, the Saudi leadership may be presiding over what will prove to be the last Eid-al-Adha (Feast of the Sacrifice) held in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

In todays article the story looks at the continuing war in Yemen.

“In an age of 24/7 news coverage, social media and videos going viral, the war in Yemen must rank as one of the most under-reported in recent times, despite a few brave visits by intrepid journalists and film crews. Yemen can be a remote, difficult and dangerous country to cover, and that is in peace time.”
“Now, six months after Saudi-led air strikes against Iranian-backed Houthi rebels began on 26 March, the war in Yemen has taken a terrible toll on the Arab world’s poorest nation, with both sides accused of committing war crimes and most of the casualties being caused by the aerial bombing.”
“Six months into this war the situation is not quite a stalemate but both sides do appear increasingly entrenched. The Houthi rebels, allied with forces loyal to the previous President Ali Abdullah Saleh, still occupy the capital, Sanaa, and much of the more heavily populated north and west of the country.” (Coordination Center)
