On February 14 & 17, the nation lost two prominent American thinkers a year ago.
Most Americans are familiar with Rush Limbaugh, who passed away on 17 FEB 21, but not as many with Curtis Ellis, who passed away on 14 FEB 21.
Rush Limbaugh was a conservative voice in the United States, the longtime host of “The Rush Limbaugh Show” and a member of the Radio Hall of Fame. He was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Trump.
Curtis Ellis was a significant power player but often preferred to work on policy matters behind the scenes. John Fredericks, appearing on Stephen K. Bannon’s War Room Pandemic, described him as “one of the original pioneers of the America First movement, populism, and economic nationalism.” Unfortunately, Ellis passed after a battle against cancer.
• Curtis Ellis was one of the first to oppose the Trans-Pacific Partnership (#TPP) as former President Obama pushed for it to pass in his waning days.
• He worked with President Trump back in November of 2014 to produce an ad exposing the TPP, at a time when all of the GOP power players (some of whom ran in 2015-2016) were for the flawed plan.
• His TPP research further armed President Trump in a debate against Hillary Clinton.
• He initially started as a Democrat but did not follow its progressive shift.
• He had a track history of decades fighting for the American worker.
• He warned America against the sell-out of Wall Street, the multi-national corporations, and the political parties to the CCP (Chinese Communist Party).
• His work was vital in influencing the renegotiation of the North America Free Trade Agreement (#NAFTA) into the United States-Mexico-Canda Agreement (#USMCA) trade deal under the Trump Administration.
• He also worked as a special advisor to the Secretary of Labor under the Trump Administration and on the transition team.
• He was the founder and head of the American Jobs Alliance, a non-profit that aimed to revitalize American manufacturing and hire American workers.
