Today NEC-SE CEO posted an article in Western Free Press that looked at the PMF structure in Iraq.
An excerpt follows:
“While on the surface, this appears to be an official Iraqi “state-sponsored” organization; it is actually a network of around 40 militias, most of which are Shia Muslim groups. Amongst these militias is Muqtada Al-Sadr’s Shia militia group, which was responsible for U.S. deaths during Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF), and Al-Hashd Al-Sha’abi which is lead by Falleh Al-Fayad who’s deputy is Abu-Mahdi Al-Mohandes who was one of the top High Value Targets for the U.S. Forces in Iraq when Americans were shedding blood against his insurgent forces. Falleh Al-Fayad is also in control of the Ministry of Defense in Iraq and the National Security Adviser for the Iraqi Prime Minister.”
