At 08:35 an attack was carried out by a Vehicle-Borne Improvised Explosive Device (VBIED), Vicinity of the 1st Manucipal Headquarters, against a Turkish Police Transport. So far, the attack has claimed the lives of 11 and injured 35.

With the PKK threatening Ramadan violence in Ankara today it is possible that this attack may be related to their operations against security elements within Turkey.

Thirty minutes before the attack against the Police transport a bus accident took place at the same location. Given the PKK does use misinformation prior to their attacks it is possible that the bus accident might have been a ploy to slow the transport down prior to the attack.
