“In the majority of the world, the critical infrastructure is not uniquely or entirely owned by the government so a partnership between the government and the private sector should exist to manage cyber security risks in those environments,” said Marty Edwards, assistant deputy director of National Cybersecurity and Communications Integration Center, and director of Industrial Control Systems, Cyber Emergency Response Team at Department of Homeland Security. Edwards spoke this morning to 81 cyber-security professionals from 22 countries at the International Cyber Summit here at the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies.
