The below article which appears in The Jerusalem Post states: “The Israeli reprisals against targets in Syria which were launched on Thursday and Friday were a means to rally American Jewish public opinion against the Iran nuclear agreement, pro-Iranian and Hezbollah officials told Arab media over the weekend.”
On 11 AUG 15 I pointed out in an interview on the Josh Bernstein Show that the Iranian nuclear deal is tied to global economic realities for both the United States and China and the EU.
In our research NEC-SE has looked at the lobby arguments and efforts against the Nuclear Deal since it’s signing. The main pattern seen in our research shown that the level of pressure on the United States Congressional leadership to reject the deal is tremendous. However, when it comes to the pressure, which needs to be placed on the EU, the same efforts by the same key players and groups are at best minimal and at worst non-existing. This makes no sense since the European leadership who are key to “stopping” the deal are in Tehran on a daily bases inviting the Iranian leaderships to their capital while striking business deals for their companies.
As a note UK and Iran simultaneously re-opened embassies as bilateral relations improve.

The question has to be asked as to why is the same pressure by the same or similar lobby groups and key players not placed on the EU leadership to stop the support for the deal?
The reality is that if the United States rejects the deal it will not only have a limited footprint in the Middle East from a military standpoint but will now lose the ability to have a footprint in the region and more importantly in Iran economically.
So the next question has to be asked is who benefits from the United States losing its economic footprint in Iran and more importantly its political ability to affect the region through its economy?
