4 Years Later, Obama Still Calling for Assad to Go, As Death Toll Hits 250K

Theodore Roosevelt once said: “Knowing what’s right doesn’t mean much unless you do what’s right.” Unfortunately in Syria we have left the country bleeding and in taters given some believe that “it is not to our current economic and political interest to do something.”  So we let the country bleed until its optimal for us to step in and declare victory on the side of the winner.  Let’s hope the winner will be okay with us not showing moral courage in dealing with the crisis that could have ended months after it started.

The article states:  “Tuesday marks the fourth anniversary of President Obama’s first call for Assad to “step aside.” At the time, the conflict between the regime and opponents had cost an estimated 1,800-2,000 lives. The death toll has grown since then by more than 12,000 percent.”

“The U.N. Security Council said Monday at least 250,000 have been killed in the civil war, including more than 10,000 children. Twelve million people have been forced to flee their homes, with more than four million seeking refuge in neighboring countries.”
